Last Sunday, turned out to be a beautiful sunny-snowy day and we decided to hit local mountains for some snowshoeing with friends. After, a quick stop at good old Timmy’s for a cup of double-double we were on our way to Cypress Mountain for our first snow shoe trip of the season!

It was the perfect temperature, calm and peaceful as we went through the trees!

Guess the snow bring out the kid in all of us…there’s nothing like making fresh tracks in the snow!

A view of Vancouver from the top of Cypress is always a joy! A portion of the clouds had opened up and the Sun was shining through on the water like a bright spotlight – simply amazing!

On our way back we made a pit stop at the Hollyburn Lodge for some life’s simple pleasures – hot chocolate and poutine!!

All in all, a great day enjoying the beautiful nature so close to home and some fresh inspiration to preserve it!
